I began the ritual. My voice cracked as I chanted the incantation, my fingers tracing the runes in the couch’s fabric. The room shuddered. Shadows pooled around me, coiling like liquid smoke. Actresses in tight dresses, a director with a camera, a contract. Reality frays at the edges, and here, in this interdimensional hellscape, I was performing for something far older and hungrier.
